Case Study - In-Home Sales Company - Colin Christensen
Set the stage
An in-home food sales company* in BC. The very ambitious owner wanted to grow the sales team and expand into multiple local markets over a 5-year period.
The company had 3 people and was doing about $250,000 in revenues.
Colin took over the sales and developed a training program for the older team. Over the next 18 months, along with the headquarter office, Colin started, staffed up and trained 40 people and accelerated 3 branch offices across the lower mainland to help the business grow 2176% and achieve #27 on the Profit 100 – Canada’s Fastest growing companies list.
Challenges along the way
Each branch had to be leased, updated, and staffed with customer service, administrative and a sales team in the respective smaller communities. Finding and ramping up teams at the same time as advertising and delivering goods in such a short time frame was complex.
- From 3 to 40 staff in 24 months
- 1 head office to 1 + 4 branch offices
- From $250,000 to $3,900,000 in revenues
- #27 in Canada and #4 in BC for fastest growing companies on the Profit 100
“Every branch Colin started outperformed the last. He went anywhere that was needed and got them up and running faster than I could have hoped.”
